Welcome to the Official Session Family website. Our family has a rich heritage and history that traces back at least 170 years from our early roots in Sumter, South Carolina to our migration to the McKeesport/Pittsburgh area of Pennsylvania to the New York City region, and now throughout the entire country.
Eva Session started the first family reunion in 1954 in Hampton, Virginia, who was part of the 'Big 12' that came from the union of Thomas and Georgianna Session. The Big 12 (Minnie, Cassie, Edith, Bertha, Louise, Alphonsa, Gustava, John, Thomas, Eva, William, and Ernest) are responsible for initiating the tremendous growth and legacy of the Session family. Eva started the family union to celebrate our family legacy and history and to create continuous pride and unity within our family. This spark ignited countless reunions in Sumter, SC, the Hampton Roads region of VA, and Columbus, OH.
Moving forward, we plan to continue our rich legacy by having yearly reunions and using this website as a space for family members to learn about their history, connect with other family members, share family achievements, and receive continuous updates and notices about future events.
We look forward to continuing to build on our legacy with your love and dedication to family pride, upliftment, and unity.
